About Sooke Septic
Sooke Septic is a septic and onsite wastewater contractor working out of Sooke, in the Capital Regional District. We hold the Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner registration issued by the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Association of BC. What we do
We install new Type 1 and Type 2 systems. We repair drain fields, distribution boxes, pumps, floats and alarms, and we clear blockages and lines. We pump tanks out and service effluent filters. We run real-estate and pre-purchase inspections and write the report.

We come out and look at the job first, and that visit is free. We put the price in writing after it. We do the work, we file what has to be filed with Island Health, and we clean up before we leave.
What we are registered to do
Our registration with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Association of BC lets us design and install Type 1 and Type 2 systems whose daily design flow is under 9,100 litres a day. We carry WorkSafeBC coverage.
Where we work
We work in Sooke, East Sooke, Otter Point and Metchosin, in the Capital Regional District. Sooke and Metchosin are municipalities. East Sooke and Otter Point are unincorporated communities in the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area.
How we price a job
The visit is free and the price follows it in writing, itemized, so you can see what each part of the job carries. Design work is billed on its own: the test pits and the soil reading first, then the drawing that comes out of them. Nothing goes in the ground before you have seen a price and said yes to it.
What you keep
On a new build you keep the as-built diagram, the maintenance plan, and the certification that lets the system be used at all. On a pump-out you get a straight account of what was in the tank and what the filter looked like. On an inspection you get the written report, and we sit down and go through it with you.
