What gets filed with the design?
Island Health gets the Filing form, the drawings and specifications, the site plan, and any covenants, easements or hydrogeological reports registered against your land — all of it before construction starts. The design fee carries the Island Health filing.
What if no system will fit the land?
When it is not possible to install a sewerage system on a parcel of land, the owner may choose to install a sewage holding tank. We tell you if the assessment points that way, and what a holding tank would mean for the property.
